I’m Cian Brassil - founder, traveller and creator. I’ve always had a passion for using technology to fix problems and I've been building products and teams since I was in school.
I got the idea for GivePact after I spent a few years travelling and working around the world, and ended up back in Ireland to “settle down”. I've had the fortune of working with some great product companies and always wanted to be able to apply some of these learnings for social good.
I believe we all have a responsibility to leave the world a little bit better than when we found it. I decided I wanted to donate a percentage of my income to charity but when I started researching I couldn't find an easy, confidence-inspiring way to do this. The experience of donating doesn't match how many people are used to finding and paying for things online today. I knew I couldn’t be the only one finding this difficult and I knew there had to be a better way to make an impact. 💡And the idea for GivePact was born.
I’ve since recruited a few of my mates along the way - some of the best people I’ve worked with in the past who I know have the same passion for social responsibility, high expectations, and are willing to work in exchange for pizza and a cheap bottle of red. We’ve had a ball building GivePact and we’re really proud of what we’re doing. I can’t wait for you to see it.
